Furring Assemblies

Pow-R-Wall furring assemblies are the rigid PVC studs embedded in every foam panel. They serve three simultaneous jobs: attachment surface for interior finishes, structural reinforcement for the concrete pour, and rebar positioning for the wall’s horizontal reinforcement.

Widest flanges in the ICF category

Every furring assembly features 2.5” wide flanges — the widest stud flange of any ICF system on the market. Wide flanges dramatically increase fastener pull-out strength, so drywall, trim, and finish carpentry crews get a stronger attachment point per screw compared to competing ICF systems. Fewer callbacks. Fewer surprises.

Integrated horizontal rebar holders

Horizontal rebar holders are integrated into the furring assembly at 9-inch on-center spacing. This eliminates a separate step in the install sequence — the rebar drops into pre-cut positions rather than being tied off by hand at every course. Vertical rebar is retained separately by our patented Retainer Clips (see the Retainer Clips product entry).

Panel spacing

Furring assemblies are pre-installed in the panels at the factory:

• Contour Wall panels: Furring spaced at 16” on-center (matches the structural column spacing)

• Flat Wall panels: Furring spaced at 8” on-center (for uniform-mass wall assemblies)

Materials and sustainability

Furring assemblies are manufactured from 100% post-industrial recycled PVC (compound: Axiall PVC 2512). Die-punched voids from the manufacturing process are re-ground and put directly back into new furring assemblies — near-zero landfill waste from production.

• Weight: 0.76 lbs per linear foot

• Pallet quantity: 128 pieces per full pallet

• Length: Pre-cut to the panel height at the factory (arrives already inside your foam panels)

You typically won’t order furring assemblies separately — they ship pre-installed in every Pow-R-Wall panel. Replacement parts and specialty applications can be ordered through your regional distributor.
